Garberville Rotary follows the guidelines of Rotary by encouraging and fostering the application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business and community life. The projects listed below are local projects chosen to include the goals of Environmental Protection, Urban peace, Concern for the Aging, AIDS Education, and Functional Literacy. Other Community Service Projects fall under International Service.

Past: placed playground equipment, provided concrete based picnic tables,
financial support for garbage and water testing

2000 - 2003 Community Partner with Garberville Public Library to create
a group of Docents to assist people learn how to access the Internet,
individual Rotary members buy History books and videos for the library .
6. Mattole Salmon Restoration Project, So. Fork of Eel River
Past involvement: Loan of tanks-pipe-equipment and feed
7. Women's Shelter, WISH
Past support: donations
Numerous donations for rent
8. Community Cornerstone
Past and Ongoing Support: summer games, barbecue

9. Benbow Lake State Park
Past: Par Course, permanent stage and 2 storage buildings
put on dinner for Shakespearian actors from England
10. Institute for Sustainable Forestry
put on general meeting dinner at the Mateel
11. Healy Senior Center

16. Monthly purchase of books for the Garberville Library. Books given in the
name of the weekly speaker.
